'HS2 may not run to central London'

London's passenger watchdog responds to reports first featured in The Sun newspaper that HS2 may be curtailed. Instead of services ending at Euston station, Old Oak Common would be the last stop.

People expect that a multi-billion-pound high-speed rail network will take them to where they want to be.

It’s important that both Euston and Old Oak Common stations are effectively integrated with the rest of the capital’s public transport network.

The tunnel walkway from Euston HS2 termini to Euston Square underground station - which we have called for from the outset - will help with this.
